Yes, most rental car companies offer van insurance quotes to its clients. So, finding that cheap coverage for a rented van will not be as hard as you think. You have to understand that vans are among the vehicles that cost more to insure. This is because their size and weight pose a greater risk of inflicting far serious damage to other motorists and their properties. But just as well, getting the coverage is very much needed as it is considered illegal in most states to drive around without insurance.

Most rental companies that rent out vans automatically include the Collision and Comprehensive Insurance when you buy the basic Third Party Liability Insurance. The latter covers the expenses incurred if you have inflicted injuries to other persons. Meanwhile, the Collision and Comprehensive Insurance is there to cover for physical damage or theft. This is the rental company’s guarantee that part of the cost to have the van repaired or replaced will be shouldered by the clients. And this is just reasonable as you would not want to shelve out huge amounts of money if the van gets stolen or is considerably damaged while in your custody. Remember, though, that the latter will be considered null and void if you drove the van on unpaved roads. You will also forfeit the benefits if you fail to obtain a local police report and inform the company about the incident immediately.
